The impossibility of presence unfolds where a person lives less and less in reality, existing instead in an endless scroll of feeds, recordings and other people's memories. Reality turns blurry, distorted and fragmented; technology creates a sense of involvement while leaving only watching, which takes the place of taking part. The person becomes a consumer of other people's states and loses touch with themselves, their attention fixed on recording life. That state is conveyed through analog-camera noise, glitches, screens and distortions — like losing signal with reality.

The concept and idea were worked out in ChatGPT and Claude. The visuals were generated in Midjourney, animated in Kling, and assembled in CapCut.
